One Armed Rider Won't Quit, Still Wants To Race
« on: May 12, 2008, 11:24:58 AM »
Here is a story about a young rider I got a chance to meet and ride with at JenningsGP a few months ago: http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/learned-hard-way/14053-inspiration-one-armed-bandit.html

Hope you all enjoy.

Here's some video of him in action.
We heard all about his crash and recovery on the Hawklist. It's been really inspiring to see him pull through and back on the bike and on the track. He's probably faster than me already. :D

I saw him at Homestead in Feb 07 - he wasn't too fast yet, but to see him riding and improving was very inspiring.  I spoke with him and he seemed like a very nice fellow.

I don't know how many of you are familiar with Observed Motorcycle Trials, but back 12+ years or so ago when I started riding Trials, I rode with a guy who competed in NY's District 4 Advanced Class who only had one arm (right I think). I can't remember his name for the life of me, but I know at one point he was a US or NY arm wrestling champ...
